The Goodwood Revival at Goodwood near Chichester in West Sussex really is a magical step back in time, a unique chance to revel in the glamour and allure of motor racing in the romantic time capsule of the world’s most authentic motor circuit.
Once again this year I enjoyed a few of the last sunny days of Summer painting some of the now world famous replica garage displays built specially for the event.
Working closely with the main signage contractors to the Goodwood Estate,( Chichester based Cathedral Signs)- The 4 staged sets where hand painted onto the realistic looking brick and textured finishes. The work which was carried out over 5 days before the event, was carefully replicated from the Sponsors (Rolls Royce, BMW and Mini ) approved designs and painted directly to the buildings in situ.
The sets where then dressed as real life garages by the Goodwood crew, complete with cars, oily mechanics, spanners, old signs, and a swinging sixties bunch of screaming girl groupies who delighted the crowds.
